Are Water Lily Pops good for kids?

We get the question very often – are water lily pops good for my kids? The quick answer is: YES!

And it’s actually a way better alternative to all the processed snacks you find on the market.

What are Water Lily Pops (Makhana)?

Water lily pops are natural popped seeds from the water lily flower which only grow in the Himalayan foothills. They’ve been consumed for 2,000 years but have long remained hidden from the rest of the world.

Most people will eat Makhana (traditional name of water lily pops) as part of a strict weight-loss diet or during fasting. But its easy to eat texture actually makes it a safe snack for toddlers and kids. The pops are light and crunchy and do not have any kernels, and start to dissolve in your mouth after 10 seconds.

Why are these seeds so perfect as a snack?

Water lily pops are naturally very nutritious and do not require processing nor added artificial flavoring like most other snacks. If you look at our Original flavored pops, you can quickly understand how simple our snacks are as you only see two ingredients; Popped water lily seeds and Olive oil (used during roasting). Try to find that in another snack!

The seeds are harvested from the water lily flowers that grow in natural ponds, the farmers let them dry in the sun after which we pop the seeds and simply roast them using olive. Nothing fried, no MSG, no artificial additives.

Just plain simple popped and roasted seeds.
